Four Seasons in a Day

I just recently read one of those memes floating around Facebook that couldn’t have been more true. It said, “If you experience 4 seasons in 2 days, you must be in Virginia!” Just last Saturday, we had a gorgeous 60 degree day, and by Monday we had ice and snow! Truthfully, every year, I am counting down the days until Spring break, but this year, I could’ve waited.  We have had so many snow days, and I feel like I just got back from winter break! Well, even though I was not ready for spring break, I have embraced it! This past weekend, I took the opportunity to go to a Bed & Breakfast in the mountains of West Virginia. While I am so connected to my technology, and I admit, I worried a little bit as I crossed the West Virginia line and I had no Verizon service on my cell, I enjoyed being off the grid for a couple of days. During that weekend, I spent time hiking in the mountains. It was a steep 2.5 mile climb up and back, but the view was breath-taking once you got to the top. I traveled to a couple of other cities in West Virginia, and while my pamphlet gave me some suggestions of places to go, they were not as hopping as I thought they would be! Literally, within 5 minutes, I was in one and out of one city. Anyways, luckily at the B&B, they had lots of fire places, games, and good food! What a great weekend.  Now, I’m just wondering when I will take my next vacation…
